Me, 2nd grade |
have wanted to teach since I was little girl and it is all I have ever wanted to do. Teaching is all I
love everything about teaching. Setting up the classroom, planning lessons, reviewing student work, and sharing each day with eager (mostly) happy students. I am equally blessed in that I have an
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G third grade team and administration. I love the freedom I have with CCSS and technology in my classroom that everything is different each year - and even day to day. I can't imagine doing anything else with my life but teaching. It is more than a job - it is a calling. But...there is this nagging feeling that I want more too.
imagined it would be and more (much, much more). I

LOVE, no seriously
LOVE, to create new classroom ideas and lesson plans. I love helping others do so as well. So when my district started talking about a new idea that combines both teaching students and coaching adults I was all ears!
wracking but fun too). I have been given the opportunity to help present to the district regarding our new ELA pacing guides. I have discovered that I love sharing with adults as much as I do with students. I

The new Instructional Specialists will be tasked with job sharing a classroom and allowing others to come in and observe lessons and the other half of each week will be spent going to other schools and
coaching/assisting other teachers in the grade level. I think this sounds so interesting! Of course I had to apply! My interview is Friday and while I
would love this job, I know that I won't be disappointed to get to stay in my classroom and teach full-time next year. The possibilities are
endless and new things may be coming my way but in any case, next year will be a blast. It
always is.
What is something you would like to venture out to try? I would love to read your thoughts in the comments below.
